The Mini LionHeart Challenge

'A Custom Designed Enterprise Programme for Primary School Pupils'

The Mini LionHeart Challenge is an inclusive, hands-on, high quality 'Enterprise Programme' designed for Key Stage 2 pupils in Year 5 and/or Year 6 which is undertaken in a working day period within the School itself (i.e. within a school hall, gym hall etc).

It is delivered by our professional, in-house trained, highly skilled and dedicated Business Coaches in a creative and meaningful format, to allow either:

1. A Primary School to deliver a Business and Enterprise Experience to their entire Year 5 or Year 6 Cohort.

2. a Secondary School to recruit and reach out to its own local Feeder Primary Schools to  embrace them in sharing their philosophy and experience of Enterprise Education.

Each Challenge day commences with the announcement of a Challenge Theme, around which the Teams (comprising of 10 Non-Friendship Group Pupils) must form a full Business Proposal.

This is achieved by the Pupils by quickly cultivating acquaintances, pulling together and workign as a team to undertake a range of enterprise tasks and cover a range of business concepts at high pace. This is accomplished inline with their Business Coach's mentoring and their understanding and use of pre-printered, structured Materials that LionHeart provides.

Evaluation:

The Challenge is followed up by the provision to the School of a comprehensive 'In-School Evaluation' which details the quantitative feedback of EVERY pupil who took part, and also the feedback of EVERY pupil who took part, and also the feedback of the teachers and business people involved.

“The Gryphon School has been involved with The LionHeart Challenge for the past 4 years during which they have provided a wealth of Enterprise Education to our Year 10 students. These activities are professionally implemented, engaging and challenging for the students who all want to win to enable them go on to compete at Regional levels”

Due to this being such a fantastic experience, we embarked on The Mini LionHeart Challenge for our feeder primary schools which was incredibly well organised and run, giving an exceptional transition activity as well as embeddign enterprise for the students from the beginning of their secondary school careers”
